These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use the Account Information Service ("AIS") provided by SIA Catego ("Catego") to connect your payment account and allow account information to be retrieved and provided to the business or organisation ("Client") with which you are using the AIS. By proceeding with the AIS consent flow and authorising access to your payment account, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.
SIA Catego is authorised to provide Account Information Services in accordance with Directive (EU) 2015/2366 ("PSD2") and applicable Latvian legislation, under the licence issued by Latvijas Banka (Licence No. 27-55/2026/2).
Catego provides the AIS as a licensed Account Information Service Provider ("AISP").
The AIS allows Catego to retrieve account information from the bank or payment institution where your payment account is held ("ASPSP") and provide that information to the Client you have selected.
The AIS is read-only. Catego cannot initiate payments, transfer funds or otherwise dispose of funds in your payment account.
Before providing your authorisation, you will be shown the specific scope of the AIS access requested, including the types of account information to be accessed, the applicable transaction history period, the purpose(s) for which the information is requested, and the duration of the access.
These parameters may vary depending on the service requested from the business on whose behalf the AIS is provided. Catego will access your account information only within the scope and for the duration authorised by you.
Exact steps mentioned above can vary depending on the technical specification of your ASPSP, that governs the way how your APSPS exchanges information with Catego. Authentication and your online banking credentials are handled directly by your ASPSP. Catego does not request or store your online banking password, personalised security credentials or Strong Customer Authentication credentials.
Depending on the account, ASPSP and the scope of your authorisation, Catego may access:
Only information within the scope permitted by your authorisation and applicable PSD2 requirements will be requested.
By confirming the AIS authorisation, you authorise Catego to access the specified payment account information in accordance with the scope displayed to you.
Your PSD2 authorisation is separate from the legal bases used under data protection legislation for the processing of personal data. Information about the processing of your personal data is provided in Catego's Privacy Notice.
You may withdraw or revoke your AIS authorisation at any time through the relevant functionality provided by your ASPSP or, where applicable, through the AIS interface provided by Catego.
Following withdrawal or expiration of your authorisation, Catego will not make further AIS data retrievals under that authorisation.
The account information retrieved through the AIS is provided to the Client selected by you in the AIS flow.
The Client is responsible for its own use and subsequent processing of the account information after receiving it from Catego, including the purposes for which the Client uses the information and its compliance with applicable data protection and sector-specific requirements.
The services provided by the Client to you, including any lending, creditworthiness or affordability assessment, are governed by the Client's own terms and privacy information.
For account information processed by Catego on behalf of the Client for the provision of the AIS requested by the Client, Catego processes the information in accordance with the contractual arrangements with the Client.
Catego may also process certain personal data independently where this is necessary to comply with its own legal or regulatory obligations as a licensed AISP, including obligations relating to regulatory records, security, audit, prevention of misuse and demonstrating compliance with applicable law.

AIS data is retained for the purposes of completing the retrieval, enabling the Client to download retrieved data, security, audit, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution and other applicable legal requirements.
For one-time authorisations, the applicable retention period begins following completion of the retrieval. For ongoing authorisations, AIS data may be retained for the duration of the authorisation and the applicable retention period begins following its expiration or revocation.
The default retention period for AIS data is three days following completion of a one-time retrieval or following expiration or revocation of an ongoing authorisation. Where configured by the Client, the retention period may be extended up to a maximum of seven days.
Following the applicable retention period, personal data is deleted or anonymised, except where longer retention is required by applicable law or regulatory requirements.
Catego implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and AIS data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
The AIS depends on the availability and functionality of the relevant ASPSP and its PSD2 interface. Catego cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or completeness of account information where this is affected by the ASPSP or other circumstances outside Catego's reasonable control.
Catego does not charge you a fee for using the AIS.
The Client may charge you for its own products or services. Such charges are governed by the agreement between you and the Client and are not charges for the AIS itself.
Information concerning the processing of your personal data, applicable legal bases, retention periods, recipients and your rights under the GDPR is provided in Catego's Privacy Notice.
Depending on the particular processing activity, you may have rights including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.

Catego may update these Terms where necessary to reflect changes to applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, the AIS or its technical implementation.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
